COVID-19 and the Lived Experience of People Facing it; a Quantitative Study

Aims: Due to the widespread outbreak of COVID-19, thousands people have died, and millions been infected around world, putting communities at great risk. The present study assessed lived experience by COVID-19. Participants & Methods: This qualitative research with a phenomenological approach was conducted in March 2020 Boroujerd, Lorestan. Using theoretical sampling method, 18 citizens were interviewed. Data collected through semi-structured interviews. Colaizzi method used for data analysis, Goba Lincoln validation model scientific findings. Findings: After seven main themes identified, including dimensions health education (highlighting role care providers, improving personal health, stagnation educational activities, need improve media literacy), family (family-centered lifestyle, generational convergence cohesion), social (disruption relationships interactions individuals, increasing trust institutions, reproduction inequality), cultural religious (spirituality, weakness), economic (disorder recession following disruption business production), sovereignty politics (organizational integrity, bioterrorism), psychological (anxiety phobia). Conclusion: COVID-19 has seriously affected people's daily life mental Boroujerd.
